Woodland Creatures & 3D Model Making
Mondays & Tuesdays
Ages 6-10 years 4.30-6pm
with Kristel Bodenseik
In this exciting hands-on course, children will explore sculpture, design, and painting by creating their own 3D woodland creatures and small scene-based artworks. Working with card, paper, modroc, and acrylic paints, students will sketch, build, sculpt, and paint imaginative forms inspired by animals and natural environments.
Children will begin by experimenting with shape, texture, and colour before progressing to more developed pieces and surrounding elements, building a simple scene to place their work within. The course may include creating a base or setting to support and display their finished pieces.
Designed to build skills, confidence, and creative thinking, this course introduces children to professional art materials in a playful, supportive, and engaging environment.

Gel Printing & Mixed Media Collage
Wednesdays & Thursdays
Ages 10-14 years 4.30pm-6pm
with Ada Hayden Joiner
This 10-week course explores collage and gel printing using a range of fun, iconic contemporary images. Young students will be encouraged to express their artistic ideas using a combination of their own imagery and ready-printed images.
Work will be built up through layering, using mixed media including pen, pastel, and paint. Outcomes will include one large main collage artwork incorporating mixed media, alongside several gel prints created from laser-jet images and developed through unique layering with acrylics.
This is a unique and exciting course designed to develop skills in painting, printing, and contemporary composition.

Self Portraiture: The Face, Identity & Expression
Saturdays
Ages 14+ Art & Portfolio Development 10am-12pm
with Kristel Bodenseik
In this portfolio-friendly course, students will explore portrait drawing and painting through self-portraiture, with a strong emphasis on faces, expression, and personal style. Working from mirrors and photo references, students will learn how to observe and translate facial proportions, features, light, and tone.
A range of materials will be used throughout the course, including charcoal, oil bars, and acrylic paint, supporting both technical skill development and creative experimentation. The course leads into a final self-portrait painting, developed over several sessions, allowing time for refinement and considered decision-making.
By the end of the course, students will have gained confidence in painting, observation, and expressive mark-making, while producing a thoughtful and individual self-portrait suitable for portfolio use.
